What We Believe
Built on the Word. Centered on Christ. Empowered by the Holy Spirit.
“Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” — Jude 3
Explore the Foundational StudyThe Truths That Ground Our Life Together
These foundational convictions express our understanding of biblical Christianity and guide our worship, teaching, discipleship, fellowship, and service.
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired by God, completely trustworthy in all that it teaches, and sufficient to guide His people in faith and life. Scripture is the final authority for what we believe, how we worship, and how we live before God.
The One True God
We believe there is one living and true God, the Creator and sovereign ruler of all things, who eternally exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in divine nature and glory, yet there is only one God.
The Deity and Humanity of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a completely sinless life, revealed the Father to humanity, and is the only Mediator between God and mankind.
The Substitutionary Atonement
We believe Jesus Christ willingly died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, bearing the judgment our sins deserved. Through His shed blood, God’s justice was satisfied, His love was demonstrated, and forgiveness and reconciliation were secured for all who believe.
The Bodily Resurrection and Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead on the third day, demonstrating His victory over sin and death. He ascended into heaven, reigns at the Father’s right hand, intercedes for His people, and will personally return in power and glory.
The Sinfulness of Humanity
We believe every human being is created in the image of God and therefore possesses dignity and value. Yet through Adam’s fall, all humanity is corrupted by sin, spiritually separated from God, and completely unable to save itself apart from God’s gracious intervention.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is the free and undeserved gift of God, received by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone—not by human effort or good works. Those who repent and trust in Christ are forgiven, justified, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life.
The Regenerating Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, brings new spiritual life through regeneration, and permanently indwells every believer. He illuminates Scripture, produces spiritual fruit, sanctifies God’s people, distributes spiritual gifts, and empowers believers for holy living and faithful service.
The Church and Its Mission
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have been united to Him through faith. The Church is called to worship God, teach His Word, make disciples, practice baptism and the Lord’s Supper, care for one another, and proclaim the gospel to all nations.
Final Judgment and Eternal Destiny
We believe Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead with perfect righteousness. Believers will be raised to everlasting life in God’s presence, while those who remain in unbelief will face final judgment and eternal separation from God.
