Outreach Ministry
Carrying the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church.
The FBCD Outreach Ministry meets our neighbors where they are — sharing the gospel, offering practical help, and letting our community know that First Baptist Church of Delair is here for them.
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15, KJV
The gospel is simple: repent, and put your trust in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Sharing that message — in word and in practical love — is at the heart of everything this ministry does.
Serving Our Neighbors in Christ’s Name
Led by Deacon Edgar Holden, the FBCD Outreach Ministry goes out into the Delair community with the gospel and with practical, hands-on help for our neighbors.
Sharing the Gospel
We go into the community to share the good news of Jesus Christ — that all who repent and put their trust in Him will be saved.
Door-to-Door Visits
Every third month, we go door to door through the neighborhood simply to introduce ourselves and let our neighbors know we’re here for whatever they need.
Clothing Drives
We collect and distribute clothing to individuals and families in our community who are in need.
Benevolence & Financial Assistance
We provide benevolence and financial assistance to help neighbors and church family members facing difficult circumstances.
When We Go Out
Every fourth Saturday, we spend the morning in the community sharing the gospel and offering prayer and encouragement. Every third month, on a fourth Sunday, we go door to door simply to introduce ourselves and let our neighbors know First Baptist Church of Delair is here for them.
Community Day
Every September, on the fourth Saturday, First Baptist Church of Delair opens its doors and its heart to the neighborhood for Community Day — a day set aside to serve, connect with, and celebrate the community around us.
Community Day is one of the biggest ways our Outreach Ministry lives out its calling each year, and we welcome our neighbors — and church family members who want to serve — to be part of it.
There Is a Place for You to Serve
Whether you want to join a Fourth Saturday outreach, help with a clothing drive, or be part of Community Day, we’d love to have you serve alongside the Outreach Ministry.
